I have been looking forward to my birthday for months! This is unusual, given that I really don't want to get any older and usually try and hold back the fateful day as long as possible.
However, this year I've booked a short break with Dave and we're going cycling in Devon. Well, that's the plan. I feel things are out to thwart me a bit. In particular the weather, the daughter(s) and the sore throat.
The weather has been dire. Rain, rain and more rain has been the pattern for the last two weeks. Enough to put your daughter's off....
